How Can I Make My Facebook Streams Public and Display Viewer Comments on Flutin?
When you stream on Facebook using Flutin, the default setting is "Friends Only" (even though Flutin asks to make it public). If you want viewer comments to appear on Flutin, you need to change the privacy settings of your streams to public.
When streaming to your profile, Facebook sets the privacy to friends-only by default (even though Flutin asks to make it public). If you want viewer comments to show up on Flutin you’ll need to make your streams public.
NOTE: This only applies to Facebook profiles, not pages/groups.
How to make all your future streams public
To make all your future streams public so you can stream to your profile & see comments inside of Flutin:
Go to your Apps and Websites page or Business Integrations Tab on Facebook (Under your FB profile Settings) and click View and edit for Flutin.
On the pop-up that appears, look for the section titled "Who can see that you use this business integration?" Select Public, then click Save.
Now when you stream to your profile, viewer comments will show up on Flutin.
Note: If you’re live right now, you’ll also need to make your current stream public.
How to make your current stream public?
If you’re live right now and not seeing viewer comments, you’ll need to make the stream public:
All you have to do is move your mouse over the Facebook Icon in the Flutin Studio and click "Go to Live Page." You will be taken to the Facebook profile where this video is live.
Click the “Globe icon” (Privacy Icon) for your stream, then Public.
Viewer comments should start appearing on Flutin!
